Responsible Tourism

Operating lodges and camps in protected ecosystems in Nepal along with local indigenous communities and wildlife comes with a great deal of responsibility.

Before you initiate your journey we request you to obey the below guidelines in order to preserve the nature and culture of the area and be a responsible tourist.


1. Respect local culture and traditions, use home stays, locally owned hotels/ lodges or campsites as much as possible to support the local livelihood.
2. Avoid/ minimize using firewood. Use other enviroment-friendly alternative for heating to minimize deforestation.
3. Use designated routes, campsites and resting places to reduce trampling and other negative environmental impacts.           
4.  Maintain cleanliness and hygiene. Use the litter box locally available. Carry back your own garbage while traveling through ecologically sensitive areas.
5.  Use the services of local guides and porters as much as possible to explore more about local environment and culture.
6.  Money spent here will contribute directly to the local livelihood, women’s empowerment and environmental conservation.
7.   Wild animals should not be touched, fed or disturbed and do not encourage local people to parade animals.
8.   Refuse to buy any souvenirs, food or product made from local wildlife made from endangered species
9.   Try not to damage any plants you see on the trail.
10. Do not collect firewood; all of our treks & mountaineering use kerosene/Gas for cooking.
11.  Please use toilet facilities en route if they exist.
12. Our policy is to carry out all non biodegradable rubbish, if any is left behind in the morning, please bring to the guides attention
13. Bring along environmentally friendly detergents and shampoos and use as little as possible to keep fresh water supplies free from pollution.
14. Always respect the local laws, customs and cultural beliefs
15.  Enjoy the areas you visit but, if possible, try and leave in a better state than you found them in.
16.  Be economical in using fresh water for showering and washing as often they are in short supply.
